![]() Half-heartedly seeking a tagline OverviewI spend much of my time Thinking (i.e., reading, writing, teaching, talking, researching) about how people construct their identities and navigate their lives with (and most often without) information and communication technologies.See Projects for a list of my current research. In the reality that co-existed with graduate school, I also indulged my interest in people's interaction with technology by working as a user researcher for several companies, most notably, Sun Microsystems and a few defunct dot.coms (my favorite of which was Productopia). Earlier in my life, when I focused more direct energy on making the world A Better Place, I worked as a conference organizer for the NGO Forum on Women '95 Beijing (the NGO side of the United Nations Conference for Women) and for Amnesty International USA.
